Refund Policy
When you're eligible for a refund, what's excluded, and how to request one.
Overview
This Refund Policy is issued by Catch Dev, Inc., a Delaware (USA) corporation ("Catch", "we", "us"), and applies to catch.dev, our error-tracking and in-app user-feedback service (the "Service"). It explains when and how we issue refunds for paid subscriptions to the Service. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our payment processor. We never store your card number; we keep only a Stripe customer reference and your subscription state. All refunds described below are issued through Stripe to your original payment method.
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If Catch isn't right for you, the first purchase of any paid subscription is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee:
- It applies to your first purchase of any paid plan, whether billed monthly or annually.
- Request a refund within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the full amount you paid — no questions asked.
- You don't need to give a reason, though we always appreciate hearing what didn't work so we can improve.
Annual Plans
The first purchase of an annual plan gets the same 14-day money-back window as a monthly plan. The window runs from the date of purchase, not from the end of the year. After the 14 days have passed, the annual term is treated like any other paid period: you can cancel so the plan does not renew, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Renewals
Subscription renewals (the second and subsequent charges for a monthly or annual plan) are not refundable. Instead, you are always free to cancel before your renewal date so that the next charge never happens. We encourage you to review your plan before each renewal — if you are unsure of your renewal date, contact support@catch.dev and we will confirm it.
Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Cancellation stops future charges. Cancel any time before your renewal date and you will not be billed again.
- You keep full access to your paid plan — including all of the Apps you monitor with Catch — until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- Outside the 14-day money-back window, we do not issue partial or pro-rated refunds for the unused remainder of a billing period.
Upgrades & Downgrades
You can change your plan at any time. Plan changes are handled through Stripe, our payment processor, and any difference in price is reflected in your subsequent billing.
A plan change is not a refund: outside the 14-day money-back window described in Section 2, changing or downgrading your plan does not entitle you to a partial or pro-rated refund of the current billing period.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email support@catch.dev from the email address on your Catch account and include the name of your organization. That's all we need — there are no forms and nothing else to prove. We process refund requests within a few business days.
How Refunds Are Returned
Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method used for the purchase. Once issued, the refund typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card or account than the one originally charged.
Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law. In particular, if you purchase as a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, and consumers in other jurisdictions may have similar non-waivable rights. Where such rights apply, we honor them in full, and this policy applies in addition to — not instead of — them.
Fair Use
The money-back guarantee exists so you can try Catch with real confidence, not as a way to get recurring free service. We reserve the right to refuse a refund where we reasonably believe the policy is being abused — for example, repeated cycles of purchasing and refunding subscriptions. This fair-use limit never affects your statutory rights described in Section 9.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Changes apply to purchases made after the change takes effect; the policy in force at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
